Description

This is one of my 2003 works to which I have given a significant overhaul. I really didn't know what I was doing then and couldn't bare to see this project go to waste. I have spent a total of 50 hours on this over the last 8 monthes or so. That's far too much time to spend for so little... but it was a great learning experience! Please leave a comment.

50 hrs... wow. A little tiny crit, there is something odd happening at the top right corner. Like the black cuts off a blend. Other than that I think this is awesome.

Yeah, I certainly like it. Great colours, specially how the purple slidely changes in white, wonderfull. But, and I dont know wheter you used Photoshop or not. It looks as though you used the smudge tool with too much enthousiasm. But really, its great, and I like the ghostlike figures in the right corner

Thanks for the crits everyone. I did use photshop but did not touch the smear tool. The blurry nature of this piece is due to experimental texturing techniques that were obviously insufficient. I will try a different method next time

Generally, the nebula is flat, and montone in colour. Also, it lacks details and the star field needs some mroe work.

Very, very nice job. Great nebula. Nice contrast and good color choice. Has smooth parts and some textured parts. Very nice glow.

Kyle, this is a great work. Good color choice and nice contrast. Very nice nebula. It remind me on Ryan Bliss and his "Iris Nebula" but with other colors. Why are you don't put this picture on your Web site?
